She met George White who was going to Crozer Seminary at the time. They were
married June 8, 1962. George became a pastor of 5 churches near Salisbury, Md. and
Judy taught music lessons. After three years of marriage it was evident that George
and Judy would not be able to have children of their own, so they adopted two children.
William (Billy) in November 1965 and Mary Anne in May 1967.
Due to serious health problems, George, needed to retire, so in 1979, the family moved
to New York State. Judy started a music studio in her home and taught for five years.
George was called to be a substitute pastor in Reynoldsville, NY. While George did that
she learned she could also become a minister. A life-long dream come true.
Judy entered Empire State College in 1983 at age 43. In 1984 she became a pastor at
the Enfield United Methodist Church and served there two years. In 1985 she graduated
with BA degree inPsychology in Pastoral Counseling. She then entered Colgate
Rochester Divinity School, along with her husband, George, and received her Master of
Divinity degree in 1988. In the same year, Judy was ordained a Deacon in the United

Methodist Church . While there she developed a Pastoral Caregivers Training program
for Laity and taught it throughout North Central N.Y. Conference and still does today. In
1990 she was ordained an Elder with Full Connection in the United Methodist Church.
She became pastor of the churches in Savannah, South Butler, and Montezuma. In
1992, Judy began serving at Tyrone United Methodist Church. In 1995, George died.
Then in 1997, she met another man by the name of White, Edwin White. They were
married October 4, 1997, and she became Judy White White. Edwin was a trumpet
player and singer, so they began singing together and called themselves NUSONG.
Judy pastored Painted Post United Methodist Church, South Corning United Methodist
Church and as an associate at Grace United Methodist Church in Corning, NY. until she
retired in 2003 after a heart attack and triple bypass heart surgery. In 2004 Ed and Judy
began worshipping at Bluff Point United Methodist Church. When the pastor there
retired she became Bluff’s pastor in 2009.
In 2011, Ed died of complications from hip surgery. Judy moved from Horseheads, NY
where they were living, and came to Keuka Park to be closer to her church. Along with
working and her 11 grandchildren, Judy is never bored. Take each day as it comes and
rely on God to show the way. Judy’s favorite verses are..Prov. 3: 5-6. “Trust in the Lord
with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways
acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths”.
