We are approaching the Resurrection of Jesus!  Our Bluff Point UM Sunrise service is at 6:15 am on Lake Street in front of Ruth Drumm's. Continental breakfast following at the church, followed by our traditional Easter service, "Christ Triumphant".  Everyone welcome.  Our evening Maundy Thursday Christian Seder meal and service is at church 4/17 at 6pm.

This week's service was a study of the Death of Lazarus. Lazarus, the brother of Mary, was ill, and died before Jesus arrived in their town of Bethany.  The stone was removed from the cave where he was entombed, and Jesus called for Lazarus to come out.  He came out, and was set free after his bindings were released.  Pastor Judy reflected in correlation, that we all should come out of our tombs of doubt and worry to see the Glory of God!  The song of praise was "Lord of the Dance"; how joyous to see the congregation singing and dancing in the pews!

Last call to sign up for the Volunteer Appreciation dinner to be held at the "Top of the Lake" 4/23 at 6pm.  Most of the people in our congregation serve on one or more committees or mission projects, and this dinner is a gathering to show appreciation for all people do behind the scenes to keep our church going strong.  Cost is $30.00 per person.

Our summer trip to Ohio- the Living Word Drama is 7/31-8/2/2014.  Spots are still available for those from our church and outside.  Pastor Judy has been several times in the past. This is a moving experience with live actors and animals where you will actually feel like you are experiencing the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ.  Call Pastor Judy at: 315-294-3960 for more details.  Deposit due 5/31/2014.

Welcome home snowbirds!  The early birds have started to arrive!
