Frank, Kim, Lynde and Jessica Wangler preformed several bassoon and violin numbers for us during church on Sunday.  They are Lorna and Ed Burton's family

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Pastor Judy's message centered on taking a deep sigh when times are rough, and remembering that God is there to get you through those rough times, even that one worst thing that ever happened to you- no matter what, always!  Not like the seed in rocky ground, but well-rooted.  God knows what is in the spirit.  She reminded us of the small mustard seed, the smallest of seeds that grows into the mightiest of shrubs.  She continued that heaven is like a mustard seed, bigger than imagined and wonderful all of the time!

We were blessed on Sunday to have Lorna and Ed Burton's family, the Wangler's, perform as a quartet on Sunday.  Our little church always shares great musical talent in Sunday worship.

Members of the BPUMC will have their summer picnic at Pastor Judy's at 2p on August 10.  Bring a dish to pass, and join with your fellow singers.

Our church rotates in providing the evening 5p service at the Living Well in Penn Yan.  On July 27, Terry Fingar gave an enlightening message about the angels all around her who support her journey up and down the hills of life.  Her granddaughter Melissa helped to place angel dolls, pictures and statues all around the worship area.  Her brother Matthew joined to support Terry- they are two of Terry's angels!  The Living Well provides opportunities for service, sharing and spiritual growth to people in our community as one of its missions.  Many from our congregation volunteer at the Well, and support its many missions, but we can always use more help and support.  Please see Terry Fingar if you can give any of your time, and she will help you get acclimated to all that we do there to help others.

Enjoy the rest of summer and join us for Sunday worship!
