Chris Wyant and Marguerite Miller, accompanied by Ron Miller sang a beautiful duet of "This is our Father's World"
BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Sunday service started with the children passing out mite boxes to the congregation, and a discussion about how filling them with small change will benefit those who need goods and services at the Living Well.  They will be collected back at church, with monies helping fund various Living Well projects.  Pastor Judy told the children more about the emergency needs that the Living Well helps to provide.  Most of us do not know what it is like to have to go without a toothbrush or toothpaste, or a meal.  Pastor Judy tasked us all to ask God to make this money count.  Small amounts can bring great rewards, as seen when Jesus fed the 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and two fish.  There was more than enough to go around.

Our musical talent continues!  Ron Miller, at the keyboard, continued with an amazing piano solo.  The gift of music at Bluff Point keeps our feet tapping and lips humming all week long!

Where is summer going?  We have enjoyed many sunny days, along with those with liquid sunshine.  It is hard to believe we are now onto mid-August!  Pastor Judy will be on vacation August 18-23.  Many of us have enjoyed our vacation days, prior to starting school and our fall routines.  We have also been blessed with many summer visitors at church as they enjoy family and our lake country!

We welcome all visitors to share with us, and our congregation!
