Stacy and Chris Wyant always coordinate their outfits for church!
BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Pastor Judy's lesson today was centered on fairness, based on scripture from Matthew 20: 1-16, read by Sarah Stackhouse, the parable of laborers in the vineyards.  Each laborer received the same wage, as promised by the landowner, despite the fact that some worked a whole day and others only an hour or so.  This carried to the children's lesson, when Pastor Judy gave the children each different amounts of chocolate "hugs".  This brought a chorus of "that's not fair" from the kids who received fewer pieces of chocolate.  The lesson centered on that we should be thankful for what we have, and not what we were given.

Thanks to Dick Dibble, Gene James, Dick Smith and Dana Schillinger for your hard work in refinishing and varnishing inside and outside doors in the church.  Great job!  They all look so nice.

The annual nut sale is on!  Great prices and quality; these packages of various nut selections make great gifts, and it is less than 3 months until Christmas!  Linda Folts is in charge of this project.

Many from the congregation drove to see the installation of our new district superintendent, Rev Jeff McDowell, at Casawasco.  We wish him well in his new position.

Remember, World-wide communion service is October 5th.  Please bring an item that you have at home, reflecting your heritage prior to this date.  We will gather during church to share a few words about the meaning to you of your object.
