Miley Andersen helps fill shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse-operation Christmas Child
BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Our Sunday School children filled 50 shoeboxes to be distributed in the US and abroad as part of the Samaritan's Purse.  These boxes full of games, stuffed animals, toys and other small items.  These will be the only things some children receive at Christmas.  This is a wonderful project, that many other local churches have participated in.

This week Pastor Judy continued with the theme of "Treasure".  We need to look at whom we serve and who is the master.  Judy related that we can not serve God and wealth.  We need to take the time to enjoy the time God has given us, and the company of others.  Pastor Judy is sending daily inspirations to us by e-mail reflecting this topic.  We are experiencing the power found in making God our treasure.

Stewardship Sunday is November 23.  This is our commitment Sunday for both our financial support for the coming year, and how we can support the church's other missions.  Hanging of the Greens is 11/30; this year it will be incorporated during our church service, which is also "musical Sunday".

We are soon entering the Christmas season.  Come join is at our 9a Sunday services as we celebrate our Lord.
