06-24-15 Article

Flag Day on June 14 was the day we honored our dear friend Cindy Heggie by singing patriotic songs to our elderly at PY nursing homes.  Dana and Helen Schillinger join in song.

Pastor Judy concentrated today on the topics of faith and love.  She used the passage of Mark 4: 26-34 to tell that the mustard seed is the smallest of seeds, but grows to become a large, flourishing plant.  She told the little children (and grown kids, too!) that you are never too young or to little to be a seed of change.  God takes care of you, and you can take care of God's things.

Bible study commenced for the summer with a picnic at Pastor Judy's and Art's home this past Wednesday; it will resume again in the fall.

24 of us from BPUMC, the Living Well and PYUMC met on Flag Day to honor our sister in Christ, Cindy Heggie.  We sang patriotic songs of our nation at Clinton Crest, Penn Yan Manor, the Homestead, and Keuka Comfort Care, as residents waved their little flags and sang along.  I think we enjoyed it as much as the residents did! Pastor Judy remarked, "We planted a lot of mustard seed!"  We hope to make this an annual event.

Come join us at 9A Sundays as we worship The Lord in song and word.
