Pastor Judy White-Wunder, Toni Parsons. Mary Anne Miller, Joyce Wiedrich and JP Prinzivalli (absent: Maren Andersen) as the Lee Wiedrich memorial scholarships are given out to our college students

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

We recently celebrated Fathers' Day, honoring our fathers and fatherly figures in our life.  We also had student recognition day, honoring our graduates from kindergarten, elementary, middle, high school and college.  Lee Wiedrich memorial scholarships were given to students who are members of BPUMC, whom are progressing in their college studies, including Toni Parsons, Mary Anne Miller, JP Prinzivalli, and Maren Andersen.  Toni graduated with a BS degree from St John Fisher College, and is working full-time in a digital marketing career.  Mary Anne graduated from Empire State College with a BS degree in business and human resource management.  JP is continuing studies at FLCC in general studies with a focus on computer study.  Maren is continuing studies at FLCC in viticulture.  Congratulations to all of our students and recent graduates!

The focus of Pastor Judy's powerful and centered message centered on the recent church massacre in Charleston.  Our faith may be tested, but victims and all of us are in the company of God.  We must learn to forgive.  Where is Jesus?  He is here, we are the ones that sometimes have left, but need to rise up and overcome problems in our world.

The children now have collected over $900.00 total towards the backpack program, an ongoing local food ministry program ensuring children are not hungry days when school is not in session.

There is no Bible Study until September, but join us at weekly Sunday church services at 9:00 am.
