Pastor Judy spoke in her sermon of God's grace and mercy. When God calls, we need to answer in a God moment.  God gives us what we need so we can give back what he needs.  She also told a story of Eagles Wings, and an eagle feather which only Native Americans are allowed by federal law to possess.  The feathers are black and white, representing day and night, and show loyalty, freedom, strength, courage and wisdom.  After death, if placed on the chest of the deceased the feather gives life in the spirit.  The scripture text this is based on is:  Isaiah 40:31.  "They will mount up like on wings of eagles".

On August 16, we will not have church service at our church, but will be participating in the "All church worship in Yates County" at Red Jacket park at 11:00 am.  Free will offering to benefit Yates County Habitat for Humanity.  Picnic to follow- bring a dish to pass and table service.

Our church will be serving refreshments 8/12 at the evening concert in the park in Penn Yan.  Contact Ellie Stempien if you are able to bake or help.

Ernie Pinneo recently participated in his 76th high school reunion.  He is looking younger every day!
