Aimee Perry got a grateful thank you from Pastor Judy after singing the stirring anthem
"How Beautiful".

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Pastor Judy reflected on two miracles in scripture from John 6:1-21 and Ephesians 3:14-21.  These miracles included first, Jesus feeding over 5,000 people with a few fish and loaves of bread, with a dozen baskets of food left after all had eaten.  The second miracle was Jesus walking on water.  All things are possible. Without God, however, we can do nothing.  Pastor Judy pointed out that we work for the one who has the resources.  We can ask for help to do God's work.  You may not think you can get through things, but bring your challenges to God, and he will give you what you need to get through.  Pastor Judy showed the children a tiny hummingbird nest that was found in her yard, pointing out how this tiny bird is able to build a sturdy structure for its young.

Thanks to Helen and Dana Schillinger, Sarah Stackhouse and Gene and Marilyn James for recent landscaping around the church.  Recent rains have certainly made flowers and weeds take off this summer!

Don't forget our pork take out dinner on August 15th!  The following day, August 16th, will be a community church service at 11:00 am at Red Jacket Park in Penn Yan with pass lunch to follow.  A collection will be taken to benefit Yates County Habitat for Humanity.  We will meet there for our church service that day only (and not at BPUMC) and stay for the community lunch.

Safe travels for all those vacationing, and a warm welcome to all who join at our church service during their summer travels to our Finger Lakes region!
