Our kids love to help with worship at BPUMC.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Pastor Sandi recently gave us a Lenten challenge regarding how we will walk our Lenten journey.  She began with the question, "Who do you think you love?"  Is it helping others?  Your checkbook?  Jesus?  She continued with the question, "What has been the price of love in your life?"  Pastor Sandi postulated that rather than giving up something like chocolate for lent, we should be doing something for others for 40 days.  She wondered what 40 days of 100 people doing good for others would look like, and then after that time, the goodness might become a habit.

Lent is a balancing act.  Pastor Sandi asked if we have done enough, and that we should turn things over to Jesus.

We are having a baked potato dinner at church on Saturday 3/5/16.  The church will provide the potatoes, participants are asked to bring toppings to share.

Noon Lenten lunches continue at the First Baptist Church in Penn Yan.  BPUMC is serving on 3/3/16.  Put on your calendars.

Stay warm!  We now have true winter weather.
