Phil Pearce and Bill Sutherland burned the promissory notes used to finance the new addition to the Bluff Point Methodist Church this past Sunday.

This past Sunday the Bluff Point UMC had a debt free celebration for the recent addition to the church.  A special thank you was given to John Anderson, Ron Sayler and Phil Pearce for their dedication to the building process.  Many from the congregation gave low-interest loans for the project, and some forgave the repayments or interest on the loans.

The new addition added an elevator lift, an upstairs bathroom, upstairs nursery and storage space, as well as a sink and small pantry area.  It made our church much more handicapped accessible for our congregation members and the community.  The entrance and gathering area is so welcoming as you enter from the rear parking lot area.  We are pleased to have this addition now paid for in full, for use of our members in providing ministry to our community.

Fathers' Day and student recognition Sunday will be on June 19th.  Let Pastor Sandi know if you have family members graduating from nursery school, kindergarten, grade school, high school or college who should be recognized during the service.  The Lee Wiedrich memorial college scholarships will be given out at a later date.

Happy Summer!  What gorgeous weather we are having.  Come join us for Sunday service.  Our service time remains at 9:00am on Sunday's.  We have Sunday School and nursery services available during church time for those of you attending with children.
