Blanche Fingar, our poet, read a very moving poem that she wrote about Independence Day and her wishes for our country.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Both Blanche Fingar and Pastor Sandi mentioned today how we need a spiritual revival in our church and in our land.  For the next few weeks Pastor Sandi will be speaking about John Wesley, and how four twenty-somethings sparked a movement that led to the creation of the Methodist Church.  Pastor Sandi began telling how John Wesley, one of 19 children, studied the word, and had a method- leading to Methodism.  Pastor Sandi challenged us this week to look at what we need to revive in our lives, and to make a list of how we would hold our personal revival.

Bruce Westerdahl is getting our talented men together to form a Men's Choir for the summer.  Please see Bruce if you can help out with this.

Mark your calendars for the Community Church Service to be held at Red Jacket Park in Penn YAN, on August 21, at 11:00 am.  More details as the date gets closer.

The kids will be making their own cars out of poster paint and cardboard boxes to be used at our church movie "drive-in" planned for July 22.  Many of us remember fun times being loaded into the station wagon with our parents and siblings as kids, and and as we were older, some of our date nights at the drive-ins!   Phil Pearce will be coordinating the drive-in activities!

We have been fortunate to have had many visitors in church so far this summer.  Welcome to our summer guests and all who join us for services!
