Are our kids cute in their cars for movie night?  We all watched the movie "Matilda", had some popcorn, and a great time!
BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Movie night at BPUMC was a great success!  We are planning another family event for later in August.  The kids got to take their drive-in cars home after the event.

Pastor Sandi continued to speak with her series about our Methodist founder, John Wesley.  John Wesley returned to England after working hard to be a disciple, being jailed, and suffering heartbreak.  People in America did not initially envelop his new way of thinking.  Pastor Sandi explained how John Wesley liked structure.  He witnessed his friend George Whitfield, who preached outside.    John Wesley's supporters gradually grew in numbers.  He insisted people grow in their faith through responsibility, purpose and grace.

Sunday August 21st at 11:00 am is the Community Worship Service at Red Jacket Park in Penn Yan.  We will be meeting there on that Sunday instead of our regular service.

Our BPUMC church picnic is coming up 8/7. It will be held at the Keuka College sports grounds.

Doug Fingar is organizing a bus trip on 8/28 to NYC for a ball game- the NY Yankees are playing the Baltimore Orioles.  Seating is limited.  See Doug for more details if you are interested!  The bus leaves early that morning, and will return the same day, following the game.  This is a great opportunity to see a major league game!
