BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Don't forget Family First game night at BPUMC on February 17th, 5:30-8:30pm at church.  Tacos and family fun games.  Hope to see you there.  Our March fun event will be painting with Chris.  No artist experience needed!

Pastor Sandi's timely sermon was on "fake news".  With all of the social media and news political postings, Pastor Sandi reminds us to check out the sources and investigate.  It is easy to judge and make our opinion the answer.  She shared that we need to use diligence and look at the big picture.  If people were uninformed about Jesus, we would not have the Bible.  If people in Jesus' time believed everything they read they would have missed many opportunities.

The scripture lesson was based on Luke 7: 1-7.  Jesus showed compassion by raising the widow's son from the dead so she would have respect, food and a home.

We are helping at Grandma's kitchen on February 16th.  We need both donations and helpers!

Thanks to all who contributed cans of soup for "The Living Well" for souperbowl Sunday.   Our large can was nearly full!
