BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Thanks to Ron Miller for his work with our choir during Aimee Perry's maternity leave.  So much appreciated.  Ron also recently built an advent calendar cross for us to light to remind us of the six Sunday's in advent.

Thirty of us recently attended our bake potato dinner this past Saturday.  Many were surprised how filling a potato was, with all of the toppings.

Our scripture lesson was based on Luke 13: 1-9.  In the parable of the fig tree, are we ready to blossom and yield fruit?  Pastor Sandi asked us how we would bear good fruit, reminding us that it would be in Jesus' time, with patience, pruning and fertilization.

A reminder of the Lenten luncheon series at the Baptist Church- 12:00 noon on Thursdays.  Cost is $7.00.

We are continuing communion each Sunday during Lent.  We also are helping the kids collect coins during Lent towards purchasing bees and chicks through the Heifer project.
