These sweet young girls came to church with us before their Lacrosse game.  Can't you tell they are from Penn Yan!

This Sunday was music Sunday.  We were blessed by our Choir, Men's Choir, Bruce Westerdahl and Ron Miller's duet of "Peace in the Valley" and our children singing and signing "Peace Like a River".  What musical talent in our small church!

The children collected $519.06 for the Heifer Project.  That will buy a lot of chicks and bees to help sustain many families abroad.

On that note, Pastor Sandi showed us pictures of malaria nets that her daughter Allie must use on her bed as she ministers with the Peace Corps in Uganda. Maci Nicholson and Hayley Andersen, as part of their confirmation project for outreach ministry, raised $300.00 with their bake sale to buy 30 mosquito nets for Africa.  The girls will be joining our church on May 7th.

The kids received a thank you note from Millie's Pantry for their latest collection of over $71.00 for the backpack program in Yates County, to help ensure food on the weekends for local students whom otherwise might go hungry.  Every penny counts up!  BPUMC has an outreach far beyond our walls.

Welcome back to most of our snowbirds.  We still are missing some of our late-season returnees, but hope to have them back in our flock soon!
