This past Sunday marked the birthday of our country, celebrated by singing patriotic hymns, and our choir's anthem, "United we Stand".

The first Sunday of the month is always communion Sunday.  We were asked today to remember someone or something we are thankful for, and remember them with a phone call or a card during the week.  We so often let those opportunities slip by.

Remember we are collecting items for our boys and girls Christmas shoeboxes.  This month is hygiene items, toothpaste and toothbrushes.  The children will go shopping in a  couple of months for the "fun" stuff- small stuffed animals and toys, prior to assembling each box.  This is one of our important church missions.

We are in the midst of our capital campaign, for needed church renovations.  It is a time to reflect on what we individually are able to do to help keep up our lovely house of worship.
