Pastor Sandi brought in an array of hats to church on Sunday, to show how hats protect us.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
Pastor Sandi showed the children  several hats of hers and her husband Dave's on Sunday.  Hats are used for protection in sporting events, and from the cold and hot summer sun.  She told the children that Jesus knows and protects us from the inside out.  God doesn't care about our exterior, or what we wear- he cares about our inner-being!

The scripture reading was from Psalm 139:1-6.  This is one of the several passages in the Bible which tells how the Lord knew all about you before you were born.

We are completing taking pictures for our church directory.  If you have not been at church to have yourself or your family photographed, please see Laurie Prinzivalli.

July 30th at 10:30 after church Allie Perl will speak about her adventures in Uganda with the Peace Corps.  She is collecting small (4 ounce) bottles of hand sanitizer and ant traps to take back with her.

August 6th is the church picnic at the Keuka College athletic facility.  Details forthcoming.

August 13th at Indian Pines Park in Penn Yan is the community worship service at 11:00 am, so we will not have our regular church service that day.  There will be a pot luck- bring a dish to pass following the community service.

Our next Family First night is August 27th.  Weather permitting, we are planning a jaunt to Roseland Water Park.
