Here's our Ernie Pinneo, enjoying coffee and snacks after church!

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

This Sunday Pastor Sandi did something a little differently.  She discussed communion and then we all participated in a children's version of "The Great Thanksgiving for Children".  She suggested we can have communion wherever and whenever we want to have it, including at breakfast at home, as we reflect on Jesus' life.

Pastor Sandi reflected on how many of us enjoy a good mystery, sometimes looking ahead to see how it ends, before we finish the text.  Maybe we don't feel the same about reading about the mystery of a good life.  Communion is based both on faith and mystery.

Don't forget that September 9th at 5:30 is the bonfire at Pastor Sandi's and Dave's.  Bring a dish to pass and have a fun evening!

September 16th from 9-12 noon is when we will meet to make dresses to send to little girls in Haiti.  We all have so much, but each new dress may be the only one each little girl will have.   No sewing experience needed- please come to church and help!

School is starting soon.  Have a safe end of Summer!
