Lesson plans, backpacks and computers were blessed for our kids returning to school this week.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
This past Sunday was special Labor Day communion Sunday.  We also blessed computers, books and lesson plans for teachers and students returning to class.  We have students from Penn Yan, FInger Lakes Community College, and MIT.

On Saturday, several of us met at the carnival at Keuka College for a meet and greet with the students.  Chris Wyant seemed to enjoy the water games as much as the students!  We have been fortunate to have had several Keuka students worship with us during the school year.

Pastor Sandi reflected on prayer, reminding us that we can take many moments for silent reflection and prayer during our day.  She had us pause for silent prayer.  She timed this for three minutes- to many of us this seemed so much longer!

Bruce Westerdahl sang one of our favorite solos that he has graced us with in the past- "Deep in the Sea"- what a range he has!  Thank you, Bruce!

The service finished with our first Sunday of the month shared brunch, after passing the bucket for hurricane Harvey victims.

Safety to all as our students return to their fall classes.  Where did summer go?
