Jane Salyer takes orders for our annual BPUMC Woman's nut sale.  The nuts are great quality and also make good holiday gifts.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich
We celebrated World-wide Communion Sunday on October 1st.  Our guest speaker was Laurie Prinzivalli, one of our lay speakers.  Her topic was based on the scriptures from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and Mark 5:21-43.  These scriptures revolved around friendship, and Jesus's powers of healing.  Jesus healed the daughter of a synagogue leader, and a woman having years of hemorrhage, healed by touching his cloak.  Jesus did not want recognition for these acts, but wanted us to center our life around him.  Thank you, Laurie, for giving us a wonderful message.

Come join us for Adopt-a-Highway fall road cleanup on Saturday October 14th at 9am.  We have a two-mile stretch of roadway on 54-a.  Many hands make light work.  We are usually done in about an hours time.  Also that weekend on Friday October 13th at 6:00 pm. is family fun night at church, Sloppy Joes and dominos.  Bring a dessert or dish to pass and come join the fun!

Our Bluff Point women are in the midst of our annual nut sale.  Come and support our ladies, and have some tasty treats or early holiday gifts.

Please let Pastor Sandi know if you are in need of prayer, or have prayer requests for friends or family.  We have an active prayer chain, as well as a prayer shawl ministry that has crossed the boarders of our country into other lands, thanks to Nancy Wilmott starting this years ago, and our faithful crochet and knitting team.  We can always use donations of yarn for this ministry.

Some of our snowbirds have started their treks to warmer climates.  Wishing them safe travels on their journeys, and we look forward to their returns in the spring.
