Matthew Sorensen organized a "Pass the bucket" event to help people affected by Hurricane Maria, realizing how much many people have lost after recent tropical storms.

We continued on our message of stewardship.  Next week, pledge cards are due, showing next years commitment to our church.  We have been put here to serve and serve others. 

Pastor Sandi's message revolved around Jacob's dream in Bethel, being called to have a purpose and called to be the light.  Everyone has basic needs of food, shelter and clothing which need to be met- some needing help to accomplish this.  We need to lead by example.  If people know God, we will see a different story.

Put Sunday November 12th on your calendars.  We will be visiting area PY nursing homes to sing patriotic songs.  The residents of these homes really look forward to our visits, and many join in with the familiar songs.

We will soon be putting together our Christmas shoeboxes for world wide distribution.  These may be the only gifts some children receive for Christmas.  It is hard to believe in 2 months Christmas will be here again!
