Sally Head helps make washcloth "bears" for our  "Operation Christmas Child" shoe boxes.

BPUMC Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Our guest speaker today on Laity Sunday was Terry Fingar.  She shared with us how she has needed God's help since her teen-age years, and continues to rely on God, and help other family members in God's way.  Terry is one of our lay speakers and enjoys the opportunity of bringing the word to others.

Looking ahead in our church calendar, our annual Harvest Supper with turkey and all the trimmings is November 4th beginning at 4:00pm.  Yummy turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, cranberries, and of course home made pie.  Takeouts are also available.

On Sunday November 12th, we will meet at Clinton Crest nursing facility at 2:15pm and then go to the Manor and Homestead to sing patriotic songs.  It is heartwarming to see how the residents join in.  Come join us with your voice and spirit!

We are still collecting items for "Operation Christmas Child" to fill our shoe boxes.  We will be assembling them soon.

Thanks to all who helped with our "Adopt-a-Highway" two mile stretch on October 14th.  It was a beautiful fall day to clean up the roadway, chat, and get a bit of exercise!
