Many enjoyed a wonderful Harvest Dinner at BPUMC this past Saturday with turkey and all of the trimmings!

We had a sell-out crowd at our annual Harvest Dinner on 11/4/17.  It is so much fun to serve our neighbors who return every year for our event.  Thanks to all in the church who participated to make this a huge success.

November 5th was Communion  Sunday, All-Saints Sunday and brunch.  We lit candles for our saints who are now in heaven, and remembered those who died this past year and before.

Pastor Sandi is hosting a Bible Study based on the teachings of Mike Slaughter's book, "Christmas is not your Birthday" from 6:30-8pm on Wednesdays, at church.  This thought was the basis for her sermon this week.  The stores are already flooded with pleas to buy items, often taking Jesus out of Christmas.  She asked us to look at traditions of feeding someone, loving someone, and doing for someone who has needs, when most of us have so much.

This year we are a collection site for the Christmas Shoebox program.  See Babs if you are able to help be at church at designated times to help with this project.

We will be "Ringing the Bells" on Wednesday November 22 9a- 4p to benefit "Yates County Christmas".  See Joyce or sign up on the sign-up sheets in the pews if you can join in.  We often sing Christmas Carols as we jingle those bells!
