The young ones joined in our bell ringing for "Yates County Christmas" this past week.  We rang the bells and sang- people were very generous!

We trust everyone had a wonderful family Thanksgiving.  It seems unreal the year is winding down, and Christmas will soon be here!

BPUMC was the collection point for 533 shoeboxes, as part of a world wide mission.  About 12,000 filled shoeboxes were collected in Big Flats by regional churches and groups to go to those in need in the US and abroad.

Our church roof is completed in time for the winter snows.  It looks so nice

We are in the midst of a reverse advent project in which families or individuals collect needs for "The Living Well" each day in advent, and pray on these items for the people receiving them.  Items needed include:  toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, woman's sanitary items, razors, dish soap, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, Kleenex, etc.  These items will be collected at church and distributed after advent.

By the time this is published, our tree at church will be up and decorated, and we will have had "Hanging of the Greens!"  We will pick items off our Angel Tree to make Christmas for a chosen family.  Watch for more activities to come during advent!
