Marguerite Miller gives a delightful message to the children about Esther.

Thank you to Marguerite Miller and Stacy Wyant for bringing our messages today.  Marguerite brought the children and adults the story of Esther, a woman in the Bible that we don't study often.  She became a queen and saved the Israelites as her husband, the king, loved her, and went against the wishes of the rulers of the land.

Stacy talked about our BPUMC and our 16 missions- "Do all the good to all the people".  He told of John Wesley, who always had a big heart to do for others.  God sent prophets and kings to show how to love people.

Stacy continued with the story of the Good Samaritan, based on Luke 10: 25-37.  God sent the prophets to show people how to love one another.  A man was beaten and left on the side of the road.  A priest and then a Levite stopped by, but ignored the man.  Finally a Samaritan stopped by and helped the man.  Stacy told how Jews and Samaritans did not always get along, but this man did the right thing and saved the traveler.  The lesson to us is to help even a stranger.

Pastor Sandi has invited women to a retreat at Cobblestone on 4/7/18 from 9-11:30.  Cost is $5.00.  Contact her for further details.
