Several of us participated in "Clean the church, inside and out" after church today.  Many hands got several jobs done!

Summer is upon us, and the kids will soon be on summer vacation.  We seem to have gone from winter to summer!

Today’s lesson centered in preparing us for studying the 10 commandments.  Pastor Sandi told us that there were over 600 commandments in the Bible.  We will be concentrating on how the 10 commandments are relevant to our life today.

Pastor Sandi also looked at how we talk to God- usually with a request.  We tend to look for answers that we want.  We need to have people in our lives to help us see the balance of what we want, versus what we need.  We need to listen to others, talk things out, and build relationships.

Pastor Sandi, and six of our pre-teens and their mentors are going to work together after church for the next four weeks in building relationships and teaching the youth how to use the Bible.  This should be exciting for the kids and adults working with them.

The church got a good cleaning after church today with a deep cleaning of the sanctuary and kitchen areas, and washing windows inside and out.  Participants included:  Marilyn, Sarah, Dorr, Blanche, Doug, Joyce, Babs, Elly, Trish and Dick.  We accomplished quite a bit in a two-hour time span!

On June 15th we will have a family dinner at church, with games and fun to follow.  Please bring a dish to pass and your own table service.
