This past Sunday was Father's Day Sunday, honoring those men who guided us in our lives.  This may have included a grandparent, an uncle, neighbor or friend.  We honor all men who brought us guidance and love.  People were asked to bring pictures of their families; these were passed around the congregation and blessed.

The church women had another sewing bee, making dresses and
shorts to send to Haiti.  Eight ladies finished 15 dresses and 8 pairs of shorts.  Our next sewing session for this cause will be on Saturday September 22, so mark your calendars!

We send our condolences to the family of Ruth Drumm, our sister in Christ, who passed away recently. Ruth had  been a long-time member of BPUMC.  Her memorial service will tentatively be later in July.

Pastor Sandi finished up her series of messages on the Ten Commandments.  She focused on how we treat our neighbors.  First of all, we have to get to know our neighbors, and cross the driveway.  We need to show respect, and be humble and kind, and reach out to be neighborly, as well as build relationships with our neighbors.

The children are continuing with a series of four week sessions after church where they learn more about the Bible, and work with their adult mentors.  Both the children and adult mentors seem to be growing by this partnership.

School's out!  Stay safe, and happy summer to all.  Our worship continues Sunday at 9:00am.  Visitors are always welcome.
