Pastor Sandi spoke today about building a house on the spirit of the 10 Commandments, in the spirit of truth, and not on fake news.  The 10 commandments center is.  How do we know news is true?  We check on the sources and reputation of the publication.  The Bible and its teaching are our standard and our rock.

Our poet Blanche Fingar shared with us one of her beautiful poems, celebrating our freedom, as we celebrate our nations birthday.

Stacy Wyant continued with our monthly introduction of men and women from the Bible to the children during Children's time.  He spoke of some of the goals and missions of the Apostle John.  Children and adults alike have all learned new facts about Bible characters as they come alive with these presentations!

Remember the children will be making their cardboard boats on 7/21 at church, 9:30-12:30.  Let Pastor Sandi know if your child would like to make a boat.  Helpers are also needed!

Babs Steinert introduced our "Operation Christmas Child" program.  50 Shoeboxes were available for parishioners to fill up for "Operation Shoebox", to include small stuffed animals, games and toys.  We have contributed to this program for many years, bringing joy and the generosity of Jesus to children in the US and foreign lands that might not otherwise receive a Christmas gift. 

Our service for our sister in Christ Ruth Drumm will be held at 11:00 am on 11/28.  The following Saturday will be our annual Pulled Pork dinner.  More details to follow.
