Mary Ann Miller shows off a quilt made lovingly by Jane Salyer for Mary Ann’s new granddaughter Haylee due next month.  The congregation was able to pray on it for birth blessings.

Pastor Sandi spoke of a Bible parable about Jesus, leading to lent.  This was a rather confusing writing concerning wicked tenants of the vineyard.  Plagues, assault and perhaps death came to those who chose not to worship God.  God does notice how we treat others.  We are called to maturity, not perfection. 

Dick Smith brought in submarine sandwiches from the 41 orders he took, made by the Baptist Church to support Habitat for Humanity on Super Bowl Sunday.  Our church also collected cans of soup for The Living Well.

Contact Babs if you can help out with Grandma’s Kitchen at PYA.  Our date to help out this worthwhile cause is in a few more days.

We have been enjoying the recent relative warmth and sunshine after bitter cold temperatures this past week.  Spring will be on the way soon.  A few confused geese have been seen flying north!
