On this past weekend several ladies met at the church and sewed garments to send to young Haitian children.  These bright garments will likely make these children beam with smiles!  Twenty-five garments were completed at this setting, spearheaded by Deb Smith.

On 2/18/19 several church members met at the Presbyterian Church to make and serve a community breakfast daily during this school break week.  Accounts were that this was yummy!

Dick Smith announced that a family is needed for the next Habitat house.  If anyone knows of a family who wants to work towards home ownership in this program, contact Dick Smith.

Pastor Sandi followed scripture from Luke 11: 5-13 in relating to this story of perseverance in prayer.  She asked us first where we pray.  Some pray in their cars while driving, some before sleep or when they get up in the morning.  We need to remember that what we pray for is in God’s time, not in our time.  We don’t always know the plan.  God has a lot to do, and we need to exhibit patience.

As we enter the Lenten season there is a lot going on.  Pancake dinner is scheduled at BPUMC on Fat Tuesday 3/5, at 5:00-6:30pm.  Sign up prior to the date for food planning.  We will have Ash Wednesday service at BPUMC on 3/6, from 5:30 to 6:15.  All welcome.
