Jeff Stempien and Gordon Bascom played a patriotic tune at our recent Memorial Sunday service.

Pastor Sandi had us each take a lego and add it to those on a table up front, showing that a foundation needs to be deep and wide.  Foundations are the key to what we build on.  Our spiritual foundation includes faith, kindness, love, respect, prayer, laughter, knowledge, community, working together and listening.  Our spiritual foundation is laid so the Holy Spirit can be built upon it.

Bruce Westerdahl told the story of airman Sgt Travis Atkins who was from Montana. He died in Iraq saving a comrade by lying upon him, giving the ultimate sacrifice.  A picture of Sgt Travis was displayed, with a service cap and American quilt to help us all remember the significance of Memorial Day.

We need choir members.  We rehearse on Tuesdays at church from 7-8pm.

There will be a Dreamers workshop at church on 6/23 from 12:30-2:30.  Mark your calendars. We will also have our graduation celebration on that day.

Thanks to all who participated in helping with Grandma’s Kitchen through this school year!
