This month will be busy as we enter the 40 days of Lent leading to Easter.  We will be participating with Branchport UMC with a Lent dinner at 6:00pm and movie at 6:30pm on Friday 3/13 (Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood) and 3/20 (Messiah).  Our 15th Club at BPUMC is on 3/15 with a pass-dish dinner at 5:30 and Jeff and Barb McDowell meeting and sharing with us following dinner. Music Sunday is 3/29.  Please let Ron Miller know if you can participate with your musical talents.

Local Lenten lunches are each Thursday during Lent at the Penn Yan First Baptist Church from 12:00-1:00pm.  Cost- $7.00.   Our church is asked to provide cookies and volunteer to serve lunch on 3/19.

Wednesday BPUMC Bible Study is on Wednesdays 10:00- 11:30- the topic is Eden.

This past Sunday Pastor Sandi shared with the children the different ways we can share communion, by showing the various communion services in our hymnal, prior to our communion service.  Our scripture lesson was based on Luke 8: 4-15, the topic being patience.  We often forget as farmers, that the growing of seed does not happen overnight.  We also need people to water us- we can’t do this for ourselves.  Showing up for church for an hour just doesn’t do it, especially if we act crazy the rest of the week.

Come join us at our weekly Sunday service at 9:00am.  We are a welcoming, friendly congregation.
