Greetings from the congregation of BPUMC!  We have been doing our Zoom church on Sunday, Tuesday morning coffee and conversation, and Bible Studies for two months now.  Bible study an amazing look at the Old Testament through the Epic of Eden.  Due to Covid-10 Phase 1, things around us are slowly starting to open, but it will be quite some time until we are ready to reopen our sanctuary.  Until then, there are so many opportunities to be distanced but still be together to share and worship. 

This past week we shared Music Madness!  Ron Miller played several selections, including God Bless America, and You are the Sunshine of my Life.  Aimee Perry and Emileigh had beautiful duets including a selection For Good, from the play, Wicked.  Aimee also sang the song, Can’t help Loving that Man of Mine, and Reflection, from Moulin.  The event finished with songs from Noah Deter, whose voice sounds amazingly like John Denver! 

Our Sunday service during this 6th Sunday of Easter focused on how we will look after ourselves in these times.  Sandi read an amazing poem titled Covid-19, by our amazing poet Blanche Fingar.  Prayers were lifted by Stacy Wyant and Eric Deter. 

We need to continue to do the right thing, even though it is not always the popular thing to do. Look at the ultimate price Jesus paid to do the right thing.  We need to follow the Commandment to love one another as yourself, and following John Wesley, to do no harm.  Doing no harm, for our medically based people is also the Hippocratic Oath.
