Our BPUMC member Jeff Stempien played Taps to honor Veterans on Memorial Day

Joyce L. Wiedrich

Our Zoom church continued with our Memorial Day service.  We began with singing AMERICA.  We remember our Vets.

Our members sent in names of family members and friends to honor on Memorial Day.  These names and photos were highlighted on the screen.

What is giving you peace these days?  What are we doing to change our hearts?  What gives you a grateful heart opens your heart with love. Scripture was from Luke 24: 44-53 as Jesus appears to the disciples, and Ephesians 1: 15-23, Paul’s prayer.   We continue to see each other distantly but remain together.  Our internet keeps us connected.

We closed our Memorial service singing, America the Beautiful!

Pastor Sandi has formed a group to look at what church will be like when we do reopen, although it may be some time yet.  They are not planning outdoor church, and seating may be limited per social distance rules when we are allowed to open.  Decisions made will consider governmental, CDC, and medical guidance.

Stay safe and enjoy the wonderful outdoors, as it appears we have gone from winter to 90 degree summer weather.  (It snowed two weeks ago!)
