As we continue with our Zoom services, we are spending more time outdoors enjoying our beautiful lake and countryside. Happy summer to all from BPUMC!

Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

We continue with weekly Zoom services and other opportunities to serve. We also have been able to have some fun together, following Covid social distancing rules. We had a drive-through picnic this past Saturday at church.  Lots of fun to see familiar faces. Laurie Prinzivalli delivered several meals to those in our congregation that are shut in.  53 meals were prepared in all.

We also prayed over two prayer shawls. Several women in our congregation have crocheted hundreds of prayer shawls over the past few years. This ministry was started several years ago by Nancy Wilmott. It has brought so much comfort to so many people.

Our scripture lesson was from the book of Job. Job was a man who was weary and frustrated. He was often questioning life. He had a very hard life. For our own life we need to remain strong and hope in the Lord. Pastor Sandi shared with us that everything circles back to goodness. We don’t always know God‘s plan in our lives. We do know that we take care of others by the simple things. We also need to look at our own foundation.  Is it sand, or solid rock?  Solid rock lets us build and stay strong.

School is out, so watch out for our kids and folks out walking or on their bikes.

Please join us with our services and Bible Study. Pastor Sandi was on vacation the week of 7/5, but church activities via the internet resumed on 7/6/2020!
