What a beautiful summer to enjoy our precious lake!

Article by Joyce Wiedrich

We are still having Zoom church, but having opportunity to pray in church by appointment, and a short group prayer service was held this past Thursday.  Every other week, Pastor Sandi is planning a drive-through social event.  The ice cream family drive through events have been the most popular.

Pastor Sandi is continuing with study of 2 Corinthians.  Scripture was 2 Corinthians 1-10, on the topic of forgiveness.  Paul forgave the people who were mean to him and offended him in Corinth, so he would not have excessive sorrow. He did not go back, but instead wrote a letter, asking they the people who had mistreated him be accountable for their actions but also forgiven.

What do we have to live through to give forgiveness?  Forgiveness is freeing.  How can we, today, change the world?  We need to use opportunities, and rethink how we behave, and choose what is important in life.  Pastor Sandi suggested the simple life, in which we can be people of Christ.   We should stop and smell the roses, stay home, and save lives during this pandemic.  We should be role models for the community.  We can’t hide from Jesus.

Our service ended with a past performance of Ron Miller on the keyboard  and Mindy on sax. Amazing talent!

Contact Pastor Sandi if you wish to join in any of our activities or Zoom services.  Happy Summer! Stay well and stay safe!
