Pastor Sandi has been speaking with us about pots that are cracked that can be repaired, based on scripture from 2 Corinthians, just as Jesus can help heal us when we feel lost or broken.

We still have a core group working on plans of when we might have Sunday worship in the church.  Our trustees made a decision to buy equipment to allow us to live stream services, since some may be uncomfortable returning to worship, and we also will be limited on how many people may worship in the sanctuary at any one time, due to following Covid-19 guidelines.  We have received this equipment, and at present will be filming/recording some music to use in our Zoom services.

Those who wish to have a hymnal and the smaller song book to use while watching services from home may pick one up at designated times when someone will be at the sanctuary.  Contact Pastor Sandi for details.

Pastor Sandi, Dave and helpers are planning a drive-through s’mores event 8/14, with a similar format as the past ice cream summer events.

Thanks to the volunteer gardeners who came and spruced up the church grounds!

Our lesson this week was taken from scripture 2 Corinthians 5: 1-21.  The word of our Bible makes us a temple of faith, kindness and love.  Our body is a temple of the holy spirit- what we do is in the name of Jesus.  Pastor Sandi reflected on the various meanings of our earthly tent, which this scripture refers to.  One is that our body is a tent in which we live in.  We have a foundation and can be rebuilt like the clay pot that fell apart.  We can weaken a foundation however by greed, pride, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth.  We are however given a life and choice, and need to operate at the best of our opportunities.

Join us by phone, computer or smart device for our Sunday 9:00am Zoom services.  Contact Pastor Sandi if you wish to have an invitation for these services, whether you are local or out-of-state.  All are welcome!
