Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

Thanks to Kara Dougherty, Dameyon Miller-Cotton, Mary Ann Miller, Laurie Prinzivalli, Daniel Kippler, Helen and Dana Schillinger, Michele and Kurt Covert,Sherri and Norm Hunt, Blanche Fingar, and  Dick Smith for joining Joyce Wiedrich For our bi-annual road cleanup mission. We got it done on a beautiful Saturday.

And this recent Sunday, Marguerite Miller and Chris Wyant doing together singing a beautiful prayer duet. Thank you ladies for a great job.

Our scripture lesson was from Matthew 20: 8-15. Pastor Sandi asked us if it was unfair to be generous to those that initially chosen. Does jealousy get in our way? We need to slow down and think. We are called to be compassionate and a witness to others through our love of God.  We have to decide for ourselves keeping in mind that God is the true authentic word.

Pastor Sandi is asking for people to help with children’s education during this time. We are able to have Sunday school, but she is asking for people to help with packets and working with our church children in Christian education. Please contact her if you can help out.

Fall is here with some beautiful crisp evenings as we watch the leaves turn around our lake area. Soon we will be returning to our sanctuary for services every other week beginning the first week in October. We will continue however with weekly Zoom services for those interested in worshiping from home.

Stay safe and stay well!
