Marguerite and Ron Miller join in our service as we opened the church for every-other-week in person worship!

Article by Joyce L. Wiedrich

We have opened our church for weekly Zoom church and every-other-week in person services. Contact Babs if you wish to worship with us in the sanctuary.  There will be some limitations on the number of people in the sanctuary, and persons must wear a mask during worship.  We enjoyed communion as part of World Wide Communion as we opened our doors!

Pastor Sandi’s message centered on the Parable of the Wicked Tenants.  We have studied several parables lately, stories which show us spiritual lessons.  Many of these show different meanings and implications.  In this parable Pastor Sandi how the tenants seized the slaves, which were stoned, beaten and one was killed.  The land owner sent his son.  The tenants said to kill him, which is what happened.  Is this familiar? We know where else this happened in our Bible history.

We need to stand up to speak justice and to mean people.  We need to help those who are angry, confused and frustrated.  Mean people take a lot of our time, effort and patience, but we should never give up on them. Pastor Sandi shows how we want to help these people so they come to Jesus.

Bible study has started.  Babs is leading a study on Ruth.  Trish will lead a study on the Old Testament entitled The Epic of Eden.  Pastor Sandi is starting other studies.  Let Pastor Sandi know if you wish to participate.  For now, these studies will be on Zoom.

So good to be back in church to worship and to see our friends.  For those not able or quite ready to return, the Zoom platforms will continue. Many have put much effort so that both options can continue.
