What a beautiful fall season we have had this year, with the vivid colors of our leaves, a bountiful harvest, and being able to worship together in person with our parishioners.

Advent season will soon be upon us! If you wish to participate in planning for some events around the advent season please contact Pastor Sandi.

Welcome to Marian Louise Gaston. Congratulations to Kristy and Simon Gaston along with big brother Isaac.

Leah Dibble and Helen Schillinger has been very busy compiling the recipes we have all been sending in for a booklet to be distributed to us around this  Christmas season. A special treat are recipes from former church members, folks that are no longer with us, and special treats from our own good cooks and bakers.  They are hoping to have all the recipes in very soon!

Many of us have enjoyed Zoom Bible studies this fall. Please contact Pastor Sandi if you wish to participate in any of them. Some are just starting. Everyone is welcome!

Our Bible lesson this week was from scripture from Matthew 22: 34-46.  A question that Pastor Sandi poised to us from the readings pertained to the commandments.  Which commandment was the greatest?  It was determined that the greatest concerns  love. You should love the Lord, God, and you should also love your neighbor as yourself. Was this a test?  Love in Jesus time was different than what we think of love today. Love was not an emotion but an action. Our lesson keeping this in mind is to do for others, clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and share our talents to assist others.  We need to take time to make a difference, starting on a small scale. Pastor Sandi asked us to let her know how we put our love into action during the week.

Remember that Zoom church continues every week at 9 AM. In-person church in our sanctuary for now is the first and third Sundays of each month at 9 AM.  Let Pastor Sandi or Babs Steinert know if you need either a Zoom invitation, or if you’re planning to come to church in person on those days.
