Sincere condolences to the family of Ernie Pinneo, a life-long member of BPUMC, a passionate farmer, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear beloved friend to so many in our community.  Ernie just recently celebrated his 99th birthday, and entered  what would be his 100th year.  Always a smile, and showed the love of his Lord.  Ernie will be missed but never forgotten.  He joins his wife Ina, grandson Richard and many other family members in heaven.

We recently got a letter from Sue Falvey that our BPUMC bell-ringers brought in $994.00 just on the day before Thanksgiving, adding to the entire effort for Yates County Christmas, aiding 893 children and 376 families in Yates County.  People were especially generous this year!  Thank you to all.

Our scripture lesson this week was from 2 Samuel 7: 1-17, God’s Promise to David.  God’s promise involved a covenant between God and David. It stated that God would build a house and would never remove his gracious love. His family and kingdom would be secure. Even on horrible days, we are all surrounded with love of God.  Pastor Sandi explained that God would never remove his precious love from us. By grace, we have been saved.  Pastor Sandi then asked us what are covenant was with God? The 10 Commandments have given us at covenant. Perhaps our covenant is to be less judgmental, to show love and not hate. She also thought we should live in Grace and be part of solutions not problems and not be complacent with life.  Pastor Sandi showed us how our congregation has shown a covenant in giving to the Christmas Yates County Christmas, helping with grab and go lunches, and so many other big and small ways that we share with others in our congregation and our community.
