Caption: Mike Morehouse has a set of diaries/journals that span three
generations in his family - his great-grandmother Herrick, his grandmother
Grace Morehouse, and his mother, Elsie Morehouse. These diaries were
written in daily! Mike shared these journals with us the day we celebrated
Bluff Point UMC’s 160th birthday. Mike noted several entries which
referred to the “old church” and the “new church”.

A 6-week study/dialogue is being presented at St. Mark’s Episcopal
Church on United Methodist and Episcopal similarities and differences.
These dialogues take place on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30-7:30.
Anyone who is interested is very welcome to attend. This is a good
beginning in understanding our neighbors’ faiths and in seeing how we can
minister together in Christ’s name.

A group communion, a coming-together of all Episcopalians and
Methodists, is being planned for the last week. Those interested in going
should please contact Pastor Judy.

Bluff Point UMC has CROP Walk fever!! We have a lot of walkers
and we are looking for a lot of pledges. Our goal this year is $3000. These
funds not only do so much for our world, but they do a great deal for our
community as well. Interested in walking and/or helping out? Please call
Sarah Stackhouse at 315-536-9482 or Donna Johnston at 315-536-2683.

Bluff Point UMC is planning a special Pentecost/Memorial Sunday.
We are encouraging every veteran to wear their uniform on that day. We are
also looking for two veterans who would be interested in being part of a
color guard.

Our 2012 Easter Drama is up on the web! This Easter Drama is in
three parts, just as we saw it during Holy Week: Maundy Thursday Drama,
Good Friday Drama, and Easter Morning Drama.
Webmaster Phil Pearce has made it very easy to view. You’ll find it
under “Google Photos”. Read the introductory information because that’s
important, and then simply click on the part that you want to see - Maundy
Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday - and you can see all the photos in
that particular series.
