Bluff Point UMC article for 10/17/12

Some things to look forward to at/involving Bluff Point UMC:
A ladies’ tea will be held on Saturday, October 27th.

Our annual Harvest Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 3rd.

The Turkey Walk will be held Sunday, November 4th. Registration for
this walk is at 1:00 PM, and the walk itself begins at 1:30 PM. If you are
interested and/or have any questions, please see Sarah Stackhouse, Laurie
Prinzivalli, or Ryan Andersen.

An overnight trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, will take place
Wednesday, November 7th and Thursday, November 8th, for those who wish
to visit Lancaster to see “Jonah”.

The week of November 12th - 19th has been designated for Operation
Shoebox collection.

Donations are needed for Christmas for the Needy. Donna Johnston
is our church spokesperson/go-to lady for further details regarding this
wonderful, huge, and special community project. She can be reached at

Ladies gather for lunch at the Antique Inn at 12:00 Noon on

Choir rehearses at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evenings, here at the church.
Bible Study is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM at the church and/or
Thursdays at 7:30 PM at Pastor Judy’s home. Anyone may come; no
previous knowledge of the Bible is required.

Participants at our October 21st worship are: Liturgist - Dick Smith;
Greeters - Doug & Terry Fingar ; Ushers - Brian & Sandy Wilmott; Scripture
Reader - Kathy Burdick; Sunday School - Jessica Kenneda; Counters - Sally
Head and Laurie Prinzivalli; Nursery - Chris & Stacy Wyant. Preaching the
importance of God’s word to us this morning will be Jim Youngman, Gideon

Our thanks to Dick & Leah Dibble for sharing fellowship with us
after our morning worship today.

Happy Birthday to Gus Luminarias (17), and Happy Anniversary
wishes to Curt & Michele Covert (22).
