Bluff Point UMC article for 1/02/13

This new year has brought a beautiful and up-dated new addition to
our church. We have added on to the back end of our Sunday School room.

This addition has created a lovely new entryway, a light and airy nursery,
bigger and better Sunday School space, and we can see from the outside that
now we have a small sit-down elevator to make us even more handicap-
accessible. Work on the addition continues, although we may begin using
portions of this new space soon.

These gentlemen have been working hard for most of the fall: Bill
Sutherland, John Andersen, Fuzzy Andersen, Dan Nielsen, Curt Covert, Phil
Pearce, Dick Smith, and Dick Dibble. We can’t forget Bucky Lane and Dale
Lane at Northeast Construction, IBS Builders, and Tim McMichaels, who
did the digging for the foundation and later brought in and spread crushed
stone for our parking lot.

Jane Salyer, our church treasurer, has been busy keeping up with all
the expenses that are incurred in a building project. Jane is always so
agreeable and prompt, and that means a lot!
