Our new nursery is perfect for our little people! It is very light and
airy. It is painted a soft yellow with white window trim, shelves, and
bookcases. There are two windows with half-moon windows above. The
whole area is carpeted for ideal playing on the floor, and a table and sink are
available for coloring, creating, and other crafts. (And for evening
meetings, if needed…) One of the first things visible when entering the
room is a rocking chair. To this writer, a rocker stands for “warmth” and

There are books for reading and books for coloring. There are
stuffies for holding and stuffies for cuddling and comforting. Stuffies can
also be used for playing house, along with the toy beds and toy kitchen

Each and every child who uses this nursery has got to feel a certain
sense of safety and security knowing that they are right across from the
sanctuary; they know that Mommy and Daddy are just a hop, skip, and a
jump away.

Much love and a great deal of thought has gone into the planning and
building of this nursery, and it is being very much used and enjoyed.

CROP Walk will be held on Sunday, May 5th. It begins at 1:00 PM at

Heads up, Yankee fans! A trip to Yankee Stadium is being planned
for Thursday, August 15th. Ticket money must be in by now. Check our
web site (, or call Doug Fingar, for further details.

Bible Study is on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM at the church and/or every
Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, also at the church. Anyone may come;
no previous knowledge of the Bible is required.

Choir has gone back to its original practice sessions on Tuesday
evenings at 7:00 PM.

Participants at our service for April 21st Sunday worship are: Liturgist
- Bill Sutherland; Greeters – Sharon Larsen and Linda Folts; Ushers – Vern
Stiles and Ernie Pinneo; Scripture Reader – Bruce Westerdahl; Sunday
School – Pam Althouse; Counters – Sally Head and Laurie Prinzivalli;
Nursery – Chris & Stacy Wyant. The title of Pastor Judy’s sermon for this
morning is “Believers Respond”.

This week, Happy Birthday wishes go to Brenda Austin (17) and
Violet Enslow (17) .
