Caption:  This year, Joyce Wiedrich presented four scholarships to our
college/ Continuing Ed./Post-High School Education students, in memory of
her brother, Lee.  Lee, along with his sister, attended Bluff Point UMC many
years.  This year’s recipients were (l-r) Ed Head, accepting the scholarship
for his granddaughter, Kylee Head,  Pastor Judy White, Joyce Wiedrich, and
students Jake Wilmott, Zakk Miller, and MaryAnne Miller.  Joyce awards
these scholarships to students in good standing not just once, but every year
they are in college.

Bluff Point United Methodist Church Chicken Barbeque coming right
up!!  We will hold our annual Chicken Barbeque on Saturday, July 6, from 3
PM until all the chicken is gone.  Prices:  Adults - $8; Children 12 and
under - $5;  ½ chicken only - $5.  Takeouts will be available.  The menu
includes ½ chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes, roll and dessert.

Sunday, June 23rd, was our Graduation Sunday.  Olivia Courtency-
Smith, granddaughter of Fremont & Carole Clow graduated from Pre-K,
Ashville, North Carolina City School District.

Violet Enslow, daughter of Mike & Emily Enslow and granddaughter
of Phil & Kathy Burdick, graduated from Waterloo Central School

We had three students who graduated from the 8th grade.  They are: 
Ryan Andersen, son of Fuzzy & Sonya Andersen and grandson of Blanche
and Dorwin Fingar and John and Donna Andersen, from Penn Yan Middle
School.  Jacob DeMay, son of Lorraine DeMay and grandson of Sylvia
DeMay, also from Penn Yan Middle School.  The third 8th grade graduate
was Christian Valone, grandson of John & Pam Althouse.

Four high school graduates included Maren Andersen, daughter of Christine
Andersen and granddaughter of John & Donna Andersen, from Penn Yan Academy. 
Also from Penn Yan Academy was Jay Vollmer, son of Thomas & Cindy Vollmer. 
Cori Heusler, granddaughter of Fremont & Carole Clow, from Victor High School. 
John Paul (J.P.) Prinzivalli, son of John & Laurie Prinzivalli, from Emmanuel Baptist Academy.

College graduates included Rob Collins, grandson of Ernie Pinneo,
from Monroe Community College.  Amanda Head, daughter of David Head
and granddaughter of Edward and Sally Head, from SUNY Cortland with a
BS degree in Psychology.  Amanda’s sister, Kylee, graduated from Johnson
and Wales College with a BS degree in Culinary Arts.  Bill Hassoldt’s
granddaughter, Jennifer Kulcavage, graduated from Elmira College.  Kerry
McLaughlin, daughter of Kelly and Jim McLaughlin and granddaughter of
Roger and Nancy Scott, graduated from University of Pennsylvania School
of Nursing with a BA in Nursing.

Alyssa Morehouse, daughter of Mike Morehouse and Kathy
Morehouse and granddaughter of Mike & Jean Morehouse, graduated from
Monroe Community College with an Applied Science in Liberal Arts
degree.  Alyssa’s sister, Megan, received a BS in Criminal Justice and a BA
in American Sign Language from Keuka College.  Their cousin, Josh
Morehouse, received a Certificate from the DRIVE program, also from
Keuka College.

Danielle Nielsen, daughter of Dan & Jane Nielsen and granddaughter
of Donald & Meredith Nielsen, graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a BA
in Fashion & Textiles.

Our last college graduate is McKenzie Parsons, wife of Zachary
Parsons and daughter-in-law of Terry & Gary Parsons, from University of
Utah, with an A.S. in Veterinary Medicine.

Kate Huggler, daughter of Stacy & Chris Wyant, graduated from
Cornell University Veterinary School of Medicine with a DVM.  We’ve
known Katie almost her whole life.  What a thrill to know that Katie
Huggler is now Dr. Katie Huggler!!

Deposits are due for the Lancaster trip, and the remaining amount is
due by July 14th.  If anyone is interested, there is still room for more.

Yankee Baseball trip is also coming up and money is due for that.

Pastor Judy’s sermon for this first Sunday in July is titled “Do All It Takes
and More”.

Our thanks to Sarah Stackhouse for providing fellowship for us after
our morning worship.

Happy Birthday wishes this week go to Deja Glover (4), Aimee Perry
(5), Phil Pearce (5), Meredith Nielsen (6), Mike Morehouse (6), Billy White
(7), and Matthew McFetridge (8).

Happy Anniversary wishes to Joan & Eric Watson (4), Matt & Nicole
