09-25-13 Article

Caption:  We recently had the pleasure of a visit from our old friends,
Marcie & Daisy.  They still love to teach from the Bible as much as they
ever did!!  We have a request:  We would love to hear them tell the story
about how God lost one of His sheep, and then found the sheep and saved it.
We see Marcie on the left and Daisy on the right.  The dude in the middle
holding the microphone is Phil Pearce.

Our two favorite live puppets, Marcie and Daisy (Laurie Prinzivall
Chris Huggler-Wyant) happened to be in the area picking grapes and apples,
so they stopped in to visit!!  We are always happy to see Marcie & Daisy!
Except that when they come here, they’re always trying to teach us things
from the Bible.  Apparently, they have forgotten that this is where they
learned this stuff in the first place!!

On this day, we talked about friends being friends.  The very best way
to have a friend is to be a friend!!  Some wise words to remember:  We can
always count on Jesus as a very special friend.  He is always there if and
when we need Him.  He is always there to talk about the happy things in our
lives, too…

We are looking forward to Sunday, September 29th.  Since it is a
“fifth” Sunday, it will be a “Musical Sunday”, and we always look forward to

We will also be paying tribute to our prayer shawl ministry on that
Sunday.  Anyone who has received a prayer shawl is invited to testify to the
power of prayer.

There will be an Ad Council meeting on Monday, September 30th at 7:00 PM.

The UMW gathers at the Antique Inn at Noon on Tuesdays.

Our church choir meets for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at 7:00
PM, in the sanctuary of our church.  If you enjoy music and singing, then
this is the place for you!!
